Help, Healing, Hope
How to Get to Heaven
Who is good?
“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10
Who has sinned?
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Where did sin come from?
“Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Romans 5:12; parenthesis added)
God’s required payment for sin?
“For the wages of sin is death:” (Romans 6:23a)
Is there hope for the sinner?
“But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)
God’s plan of forgiveness for sinners?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“But God commended His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Salvation is the free gift of God, not by the works of man.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
You can’t be saved by: Good Works, Bible Knowledge, Morality or Religion. You can’t earn your way to heaven. There is only one way!
Is there any other way to God or salvation?
“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
“Nor is there salvation in any other (Jesus Christ of Nazareth), for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12; parenthesis added)
What must one do to accept this gift from God?
“That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him form the dead, you shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
“For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
“I write to little children (those who have been saved), because your sins are forgiven you for His (Jesus) name’s sake.” (1 John 2:12; parenthesis added)
Do you desire for God to forgive you of your sins today? Will you call on the Lord now and ask Him to save you? Then, pray this prayer:
“Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. I do believe that Jesus Christ died for me to pay my sin debt; and the best I know how, I trust Him now as my savior. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart to be my Savior and Lord. Lord I give you my life and take the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as my life. From this moment on, I will depend on Him for my salvation.”
